Science on weight loss made easy.

Our bodies need a certain amount of CALORIES (unit for energy) to allow us to survive. When we eat our food gets broken down into glucose which is what cells need for respiration. When the glucose is not used it get stored as fat.

Lets say our body need 3000 calories to get us through the day.

If we eat 3500 calories, our bodies don’t need to break int our emergency fat store as we’ve supplied our body with more than enough energy.

3000- 3500 = -500 cal

*note the (-) means excess  (+) means deficit.

This means we have 500 more calories than we need which gets stored as FAT.

Now if we eat 1500 calories see what happens

3000 - 1500 = 1500 cal

We’ve no supplied our bodies with 1500 cal of food and our bodies need 1500 MORE calories, our body then uses energy from our fat store and this is how you lose weight. EASY

BUT if you eat below 1200 calories a day, your body goes into starvation mode thinking that there isn’t enough food around and then you start GAINING weight, anything you eat automatically gets stores as fat.

Now that was just with less food, now look what happens with EXERCISE

I need 3000 calories, my net goal of calories to intake is 1500 I enjoy a fun zumba class and burn a good 400 calories and eat a nice calorie worth of food for the day

3000 - (1500 - 400) = 1900 cal

You burn more with exercise! My net calorie intake would be 1100 calories because of exercise, which means I can eat 400 more calories.

Easy?
